New Name Reflects the Foundation’s Expansion into More Northern Cincinnati Communities

(Cincinnati, Ohio – June 24, 2021) –The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty will now be known as the Northern Cincinnati Foundation. Located in Olde West Chester, the foundation has grown significantly over the past 20 years, with donors coming from suburbs outside of West Chester and Liberty Township, leading to the name change.

“With more than 50 percent of our charitable assets coming from communities throughout the northern Cincinnati region, this name change more accurately represents the donors we are serving,” said Erin Clemons, President and CEO of the Northern Cincinnati Foundation. “We look forward to building relationships in these communities and opening more opportunities for philanthropy for both individuals and businesses. For the business community, in particular, it is an advantageous time for leaders to consider philanthropy given the uncertainty of current tax policy.”

The Northern Cincinnati Foundation focuses on helping donors make a positive impact in their communities and guides them through the process to ensure their gifts will benefit charitable organizations that are important to them. They offer opportunities for people to get involved at any level and every stage of life– from young families just starting out, to estate planning, and legacy gifts.

“The Northern Cincinnati Foundation is an excellent philanthropic partner,” says Bill McCloy, founder and former CEO of CE Power and Northern Cincinnati Foundation fund holder. “They offer guidance and charitable expertise, while listening to the donors they serve and allowing them to decide their own giving for the causes they want to support. For business leaders who recognize their responsibility to give back to the community from which they have benefited, the Northern Cincinnati Foundation is a great resource to ensure corporate philanthropy is done effectively and efficiently.”

The Northern Cincinnati Foundation will maintain the existing partnerships they’ve built in the West Chester/Liberty community while they continue to grow and expand into other suburban Cincinnati communities with similar charitable needs and interests.
