Lakota Schools Foundation to launch with signature beer from Grainworks Brewing Company

June 11, 2018

Lakota Local Schools, in partnership with Grainworks Brewing Company and the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty, will launch the Lakota Schools Foundation with a celebration on June 23rd and a specially-brewed Grainworks beer - Lakota Thunderbird - Red Ale.

The June 23rd event will take place at Grainworks Brewing Company, 7790 Service Center Drive in West Chester, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM and will include light refreshments and a short presentation at 5:30.

“Parents, residents, and supporters of Lakota Schools will be able to enjoy the Lakota Thunderbird Beer in the Grainworks Taproom and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lakota Foundation,” said Steven Brock, Founder and COO of Grainworks Brewing Company. “We are proud to partner with Lakota and the Community Foundation to support our local schools.”

A Thunderbird merchandise line, including t-shirts and glassware, will also be available the day of the event to help generate additional dollars for the Lakota Foundation.

The Lakota Schools Foundation (formerly Lakota Endowment and Alumni Fund or L.E.A.F) was established at the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty in 2017 to build a sustainable source of funding for current and future district needs.

“As a district, we are proud of the legacy of all our talented Lakota alumni and dedicated community members,” said Brad Lovell, Lakota School Board vice president. “The Lakota Schools Foundation is a way to help unify the school community, and invest in the future.”

The event is free and open to the public. For additional information, please visit www.grainworks.beer/events.
