The Northern Cincinnati Foundation began in 1999 as a grass-roots organization, an idea launched around a kitchen table by a group of thoughtful, committed community members.

We weren't funded by a large bequest, but by the collective efforts of every day individuals and small businesses. Nearly 25 years later, thanks to the generosity and vision of our donors, we have surpassed $27M in assets, and distribute millions in grants each year from 172 charitable funds. Sixty-seven percent of our charitable funds are endowed for sustained growth and long-term impact, ensuring we are here for good.
