NEW Community Grants Fund Application Process

January 5, 2018

The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty is rolling out a new Community Grants Fund process for 2018 addressing funding priorities aligned with the results of the recent Community Needs Assessment - education, transportation, and workforce development. Changes also include a move toward fully-funding projects and programs up to $30,000, as well as ensuring 100% of grant dollars are spent within West Chester/Liberty.

The first grant cycle will focus on education, specifically addressing the following issues:

  •          Enhance educational opportunities for K-12 students in West Chester/Liberty
  •          Focus on improving K-3 reading proficiency
  •          Foster community engagement and school-community partnerships with Lakota Local Schools
  •          Address the widening achievement gap among students based on factors like socioeconomic status and race/ethnicity

Nonprofit organizations interested in applying for funding should contact Karen Gibbs (karen.gibbs@wclfoundation.org OR 513-682-8061) at the Foundation no later that Friday, January 12th to schedule a pre-application phone call for the following week. The final deadline for this round is March 9th.
